My Autumn is a deathcore band from Saint Petersburg, Russia .

history

My Autumn was originally formed by musicians from two different bands after they broke up in October 2007. Both bands played a metalcore- like sound. The group consists of the musicians Eugene Sergeew ( vocals ), Mischa Petrow ( guitar ), Eugene Swetlow (guitar), Stas Kusin ( bass guitar ) and Pavel Korchagin ( drums ). In 2006 the musicians released a demo CD, but the group did not come into being until a year later.

Within the first six months the band played with Despised Icon , Caliban , Carnifex , The Dillinger Escape Plan , Beneath the Massacre , Bleeding Through , Parkway Drive , Bring Me the Horizon , War from a Harlots Mouth , Darkest Hour and Architects .

In 2008 the first EP Inexpressible Words was produced and released in-house. After the group signed a contract with the Russian label Chaotic Noiz , which belongs to CNP Records , My Autumn released their debut album The Lost Meridian on November 22, 2009 . The group had to cancel a planned European tour in July 2009. Her single Stereotypes was released in the same year .

In April 2010 the group planned to try a European tour again. In addition, the second single On That Side of Dream was released . As opening act for Betraying the Martyrs , My Autumn toured Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Austria, Luxembourg, Belgium, France, the Netherlands and Great Britain together with Despite My Deepest Fear from Great Britain. This was on the Breath In Life Tour , which took place between April and May 2011.

Between January 26, 2012 and February 10, 2012, the group toured Europe as a headliner for the first time. This tour was called the Oblivion Era Eurotour, which was sponsored by FUZE Magazine and SLAM alternative music magazine . A tour of Poland followed on March 7th with Annotations of an Autopsy , Frontside and Drown My Day , which ended on March 18th. The tour was called the Deathcore Legion Tour. In the meantime, drummer Mark Mironow has left the band and joined the French deathcore band Betraying the Martyrs , whose drummer had previously left the band. My Autumn has now released an English version of their second album "Oblivion Era" as a download and is currently looking for a label to be able to press the album on CD. Alex Erian ( Obey the Brave , ex- Despised Icon ) can be heard as a guest musician .
