War from a Harlots Mouth ( German , "War through the mouth of a whore") is a German mathcore band from Berlin .
history
War from a Harlots Mouth was founded in late 2005 as a fun project by guitarist Simon, singer Steffen and drummer Paul. The trio finally recorded their first songs, which were released in August 2006 on a split EP with the American deathcore band Molotov Solution .
After the band was completed with Daniel (guitar) and Filip (bass), the first live performances were played. They played in the opening act for Dying Fetus (with a.o. Cattle Decapitation ) and were on the Never Say Die! -Tour 2007 with Ion Dissonance , Dead to Fall and Through the Eyes of the Dead . So the record label Lifeforce Records became aware of War from a Harlots Mouth, and the band signed a record deal there.
Shortly after the debut album Transmetropolitan was released in September 2007 , singer Steffen left the band and Nico Webers, whom they had previously met on a tour with his former band The Ocean , replaced him. The band went on tour with Burning Skies with the new singer .
After the release of another split EP in 2008, the second studio album In Shoals was released in April 2009 . Then War from a Harlots Mouth u. a. with Bleeding Through and Darkest Hour on the Thrash and Burn European Tour 2009 .

The music of War from a Harlots Mouth shows influences from grindcore , mathcore , death metal and also jazz .
The band's MySpace page states:
“ This is a band, not a gang of rock stars. We play music and that's it. We don't claim to belong to any genre. So don't tell us that we are not whatever core or blablametal, because you are right: we are not. We already know that and we don't care. "
