Bleeding Through is an American metalcore - band from Orange County , California that was founded in the 1999th

Band history

The band initially consisted of vocalist Brandan "Sheep" Schieppati, lead guitarist Javier Van Huss, rhythm guitarist Scott Danough, bassist Chad Tafolla and drummer Troy Born. The first line-up changes came very early when guitarist Javier Van Huss left the band and Chad Tafolla took over the lead guitar.

In 2001 their debut album Dust of Ashes was released on Prime Directive Records, on which Vijay Kumar can now be heard on bass. Chad Tafolla also left the band. In addition, the band has brought on a sixth member, namely Molly Street. She took care of the keyboard.

In 2002, the next album, Portrait of the Goddess, was released under Indecision Records. The band starts their first big tour for seven months after the release. Except for guitarist Scott Danough and Shouter "Sheep" all other members were replaced by Brian Leppke on guitar, Ryan Wombacher on bass, Derek Youngsma on drums and Marta Peterson on keyboard. After Brandan Shiepatti left his other band Eighteen Visions , he concentrated entirely on Bleeding Through and the writing of their lyrics.

This Is Love, This Is Murderous was released on Trustkill Records in 2003 , but was released in Europe in 2004 on Roadrunner Records . After the recordings, they will tour the USA with AFI and Hot Water Music . Through the tour Bleeding Through gained increasing popularity, both in the USA and internationally. This was confirmed at the latest when the band played at the legendary Ozzfest in July 2004 with greats like Hatebreed , Slipknot and Slayer . In addition, they toured Europe in November as the opening act for Arch Enemy and Cradle of Filth in order to increase their popularity there. Then they went on tour in Germany with Cult of Luna in February 2005 . In spring 2005, work began on the upcoming album The Truth , which was produced with Rob Caggiano, the former guitarist of the thrash metal band Anthrax .

The Truth was finally released in January 2006. Immediately after the recordings were finished, the band began to play numerous live shows again, including Haste the Day and Every Time I Die . In spring 2007 Scott Danough left the band and was quickly replaced by Jona Weinhofen. This left his own band I Killed the Prom Queen , whose singer had left the band shortly before. After switching to Bleeding Through, the band broke up a short time later.

For the following studio album, the band signed a contract with Nuclear Blast to release the album in Europe. Declaration was released on September 26, 2008, in the United States it was still released by Trustkill, but not until September 30, 2008. The album was produced by Devin Townsend .

In May 2009 the band announced that Jona Weinhofen would leave the same. Dave Nassie, former guitarist of No Use for a Name , has since taken his place .

On April 13, 2010, the self-titled album "Bleeding Through" was released. This was followed by tours through Europe with Hatebreed and Machine Head .

On May 14, 2011, the band announced that they would release a new album entitled "The Great Fire". This was published on January 31, 2012. In 2013, the group announced its dissolution.

After years of quiet around the group, rumors surfaced in early 2018 that Bleeding Through were active again. In the spring of 2018 it was announced that the musicians had signed a record deal with SharpTone Records and announced Love Will Kill All, their first album in six years, for May 25, 2018.
