Loudwire
Loudwire is an American online magazine that deals with light music , especially hard rock and metal . The magazine was launched in August 2011 and is owned by the media company Townsquare Media .

In addition to interviews and reviews of current albums, the magazine deals heavily with the history of music. Ranking lists of albums and songs by various artists are published and reviews of the most successful and groundbreaking albums are published. In addition, musicians are featured in the Wikipedia: Fact or Fiction? confronted with statements from their Wikipedia articles with the request to confirm or correct the statements. Since 2011, the magazine has presented the Loudwire Music Awards , in which the magazine's readers can vote on the winners. The vote in 2014 received over two million votes. The magazine is financed exclusively through advertising . The editor-in-chief is Spencer Kaufman.

Overview
There were a few changes at the seventh award. The categories Best Rock Band and Best Metal Band have been renamed Best Hard Rock Artist and Best Metal Artist . The categories Best Rock Video , Best Metal Video , Rock Goddess of the Year and Rock Titan of the Year have been deleted without replacement. New additions are the categories Breakthrough Artist , the Humanitarian Award , the Lemmy Award to honor the life's work and the Courage Award . The awards were presented at a ceremony on October 24, 2017 at the Novo Theater in Los Angeles .
