Code Orange (until 2014 Code Orange Kids ) is a hardcore band from Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania, founded in 2008 . The band has released two studio albums through Deathwish Inc. since 2012, and Code Orange has also released various EPs and splits .
history
Code Orange was founded under the name Code Orange Kids in 2008 in Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania . In 2011, bassist Meyers switched to guitar as part of a line-up change. The group consists of Eric Balderose ( vocals , electric guitar ), Reba Meyers (vocals, electric guitar), Jami Morgan (vocals, drums ) and Joe Goldman ( electric bass ). In 2012 the debut album Love Is Love / Return to Dust was released via Deathwish Inc. With the release of the second studio album I Am King via Deathwish, the group changed its name to Code Orange . The album debuted at number 96 in the US album charts.
In 2015 and 2017 the band performed at the Rock am Ring and Rock im Park festivals . In 2017 the band hired a long-time friend, Dominic Landolina, who had already played with Meyers and Morgan in the rock band Adventures, as a further guitarist. In 2019 Code Orange was the opening act for Slipknot's European tour .
style
The group described their style of music as rough and doomy hardcore, similar to Black Flag , Converge and Integrity .
