history

Run for Cover Records was founded in 2004 by Jeff Casazza in Boston , Massachusetts, and has made several bands better known in the rock music scene, including Modern Baseball , Basement , Tigers Jaw and Citizen . However, the label made its breakthrough in the music scene with releases by the groups Transit , Modern Baseball and Fireworks , which made a name for themselves in the pop-punk scene. Also Title Fight already published in Run for Cover Records.

The album Colourmeinkindness by the British band Basement was the first album by Run for Cover Records that could position itself in the Billboard charts . In 2013, the label signed a distribution deal with ADA , which is part of the Warner Music Group . In April 2015, a partnership with the Australian offshoot of the British label Cooking Vinyl followed .

The label started in a small room in 2007 and had seven full-time employees in 2015.
