The World Is a Beautiful Place and I Am No Longer Afraid to Die play an experimental and atmospheric variant of emo . The music in the orchestral parts of some pieces is comparable to Sigur Rós . The band is described as one of the most important exponents of the emerging wave of emo. Dan Bogosian believes that the band was inspired by post-rock of the 90s and first-generation emo. Slight influences from post-hardcore can also be found in a few songs.
