Career

Angela Gossow is one of the few internationally known musicians in death metal.

From 1991 to 1997 Gossow was active with Asmodina and between 1998 and 2000 with Mistress. 2001 interviewed Amateur - journalist Gossow the guitarist of the band Arch Enemy, Michael Amott for a German Webzine and gave him while a demo tape , which they themselves described as "poor quality". After Johan Liiva left Arch Enemy, Angela Gossow became the band's singer. The first joint album Wages of Sin was initially recorded with confidentiality of their identity and thus their gender. When the new line-up was finally announced, it was astonishing that the songs were sung by a woman. With Gossow as the singer, Arch Enemy were able to increase their success significantly, which was also reflected in the sales figures for the follow-up albums Anthems of Rebellion and Doomsday Machine .

On March 17, 2014, the band announced that Alissa White-Gluz , former singer of the Canadian melodic death metal band The Agonist , took Gossow's place at Arch Enemy. The band retained this position as a business manager.
