Rise of the Tyrant is the seventh album by the Swedish melodic death metal band Arch Enemy . It was produced by Frederik Nordström and published by Century Media in September 2007 .

Emergence

The band released a video for the song Revolution Begins . In April 2007 a second clip for the song I Will Live Again follows . The album was finally released in September.

In addition to the normal version, a limited edition DVD was released containing live recordings and a documentary about their tour in South America in 2007.

reception

Matthias Olejnik from Metal.de particularly praised the playing of the instruments, especially the guitars. This is skillful and clearly stands out. Less convincing is the singing, which suffers from weakness. A Metalunderground employee , on the other hand, rated both the vocals and the use of instruments as successful. Another strength of the album is the mixture of melodic and brutal metal. The author names the lack of innovations as the weakness of the album. The album renounces experiments and innovations and is based too much on previous works.
