Bob Ezrin (actually Robert Alan Ezrin, born March 25, 1949 in Toronto , Ontario ) is a Canadian musician and record producer .

Career

Ezrin became known as a record producer in the 1970s through productions with Alice Cooper , Lou Reed , Pink Floyd , Peter Gabriel and Kiss . His most famous production was the Pink Floyd album The Wall . Ezrin is often described as a very charismatic person, which is why he is also described as " Francis Ford Coppola " of the record producers. His production style is often influenced by classical music.

Ezrin often used new techniques in his productions, such as: B. Computer sequencing or sampling . In the 1980s and 1990s, Ezrin worked with artists such as David Gilmour , Pink Floyd , Berlin , Rod Stewart , Héroes del Silencio , Julian Lennon , Bonham, The Jayhawks and Kula Shaker .
