Juno Award

The Juno Awards are presented annually to Canadian musicians by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) . The Junos emerged in 1970 from the Gold Leaf Awards hosted by RPM magazine. CARAS was founded in 1975 to introduce the Juno program.

The awards recognize artistic and technical accomplishments in all styles of Canadian music. New members of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame will be officially introduced at the awards ceremony.

Venues

Until 1991, the Juno Awards were held exclusively in Toronto. Since then, the events have been held alternately in larger cities.
