The Canadian Tire Center ( French Center Canadian Tire ) is a multi-purpose hall in the Kanata suburb of the Canadian city ​​of Ottawa . The arena offers a maximum of 17,000 seats in a total of three stands. For concerts with a stage, the interior space is added, but a large part of the tiers is closed.

The arena is mainly used for ice hockey. The Ottawa Senators team from the NHL has been based in the hall since it opened. During the renovation work on the TD Place Arena from 2012 to 2014, the Ottawa 67’s from the OHL played their games in the Canadian Tire Center.

The Carleton University basketball team uses the hall's home ground for special games. The annual Capital Hoops Classic local derby against the University of Ottawa has been held here since 2007 . The Ravens used the hall five times to host the CIS Final 8 , the final tournament of the Canadian University Championship.

The short-lived basketball team of the Ottawa SkyHawks from NBL Canada used the hall in the 2013/14 season. In addition to the sporting events, concerts and shows are also organized.

In the beginning of 1996 the multifunctional arena was called The Palladium . From 1996 to 2006 the name rights were with the Corel Corporation , which gave the hall the name Corel Center . For seven years until 2013, the Canadian bank Scotiabank acquired the naming rights and the Corel Center became Scotiabank Place. The Canadian Tire retail chain has been a name sponsor since 2013 .
