Yellow & Green is the third studio album by the American band Baroness . It was released on Relapse Records in July 2012 . It is a double album, the first part of which is named Yellow , the second Green , and thus continues the color sequence of the two previous albums.
Origin and style
The album largely dispenses with the shouting and sludge elements of earlier albums and moves in various rock subgenres. The album, recorded with John Congleton like Blue Record , features catchy songs like Take My Bones Away as well as borrowings from the 1970s or progressive elements. Singer John Baizley, who once again designed the cover himself, said: "The anger has not disappeared, it just shows itself in a different form." For the first time an album by the band reached higher chart positions, in Germany number 13.

The album was named album of the month in Metal Hammer . Petra Schurer wrote that the album was “visually and musically one of the best that the Savannah gang has ever created”. She awarded seven out of seven points.
