Jay Weinberg (born September 8, 1990 in Middletown Township , New Jersey ) is an American drummer and the son of Max Weinberg , the regular drummer of the E Street Band . Jay Weinberg was best known when he became an official member and successor of Joey Jordison in the band Slipknot in 2014 .

Musical career

In 2009 he represented his father in Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band , in 2010 he toured with the band Madball , in 2011 and 2012 with Against Me! . Then Slipknot noticed him. In 2014 he replaced Joey Jordison and became an official member of Slipknot . He is already featured on the 2014 album .5: The Gray Chapter .
