Worship Music -

Worship Music is the 10th studio album by the US metal band Anthrax . It was released on September 13, 2011. For the first time since Persistence of Time (1990) Joey Belladonna can be heard on an anthrax studio album.

history

After the last studio album We've Come for You All (2003) and the new recording of old hits, entitled the greater of two evils had bassist Frank Bello 2004 left the band returned in 2005 for the reunion with vocalist Joey Belladonna and lead guitarist Dan Spitz back . At the beginning of 2007 the Reunion lineup broke up, John Bush also did not want to return as a singer. Short term was Corey Taylor of Slipknot in conversation, but did not have time. At the end of 2007, the band signed a hitherto little known singer, Dan Nelson, and also played again with guitarist Rob Caggiano . During this time, worship music was recorded with Nelson on vocals. Its publication was planned for 2009. The separation from Nelson took place under not entirely clear circumstances. John Bush took over the microphone but didn't want to sing along with the material that was already recorded. After the band had received the acceptance for The-Big-4 -Festivals, they decided to engage Belladonna again. With him, the band reworked some of the songs on the already recorded album, which otherwise would not have suited Belladonna's sometimes higher pitch. However, some pieces were left in the lower register, which is actually atypical for Joey Belladonna.

"Fight 'Em' Til You Can't" was released on June 24th 2011 as the first single.
