Jesse David Leach (born July 3, 1978 in Providence , Rhode Island ) is an American singer . He is a member of the bands Killswitch Engage , The Empire Shall Fall and Times of Grace . He was also active in the band Seemless .

Career

Leach made his first musical steps in the mid-1990s in the bands Corrin and Nothing Stays Gold . In 1999 he joined the band Killswitch Engage, who released the debut album of the same name the following year. Two years later the album Alive or Just Breathing followed . Towards the end of the North American tour, Leach left the band. He had previously married and suffered from depression while touring . Finally, he informed his bandmates about his exit by email . Years later, Leach stated in an interview that at the time he lacked tour experience and was not prepared for this life.

After getting over his depression, Leach joined the hard rock band Seemless, which released two studio albums. After Seemless drummer Derek Kerswill joined Unearth in 2008 , Seemless broke up. Leach then founded the metalcore band The Empire Shall Fall, which has released two albums so far. Together with the Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz , Leach founded the band Times of Grace in 2008 , which three years later released their only album The Hymn of a Broken Man . In January 2012, returned to Leach Killswitch Engage back after his successor Howard Jones because of diabetes got out disease infection.

As a ghostwriter , Leach wrote the lyrics for the debut album by Serpentine Dominion , the band of his bandmate Adam Dutkiewicz , released at the end of October 2016 .
