Adam Dutkiewicz
Adam Dutkiewicz (born April 4, 1977 ) is an American guitarist , drummer and music producer . He is a member of the successful metalcore band Killswitch Engage .
biography
Dutkiewicz studied at the Berklee School of Music in Boston . His courses were music production, sound engineering and bass guitar. During his studies he joined the band Aftershock. He later became a founding member of Killswitch Engage, where he originally played drums . Before the second album Alive or Just Breathing , he switched to guitar .
Dutkiewicz has produced all of Killswitch Engage's studio albums. He has also produced albums for bands like All That Remains , Underoath , Unearth , Parkway Drive , etc. With the Unearth guitarist Ken Susi Dutkiewicz founded a project called "Burn Your Wishes".
In the middle of 2010 Adam Dutkiewicz recorded the album The Hymn of a Broken Man with Jesse Leach (from 1999 to 2003 and from 2012 singer of Killswitch Engage) under the name Times of Grace , which was released in January 2011. He played all the instruments himself and took over the background vocals. The first ideas for the album came to him in 2007 when he couldn't play on the Killswitch Engage European tour due to back problems and he doubted he would ever be on stage again.
On a festival tour in 2009 where u. a. Cannibal Corpse and The Black Dahlia Murder took part, the idea arose in Dutkiewicz to found a joint death metal project with musicians from these bands . The band of the same name released their debut album in October 2016 under the name Serpentine Dominion .
