The Acacia Strain is a Founded in 2001, American metalcore - band from Chicopee.
history
The band as a whole has been in existence since 2001, but there have been some line-up changes since then. Jeanne Sagan, bassist for All That Remains , and Mark Castillo, drummer for Bury Your Dead , have been members of the band.
The two albums … And Life Is Very Long and The Dead Walk were produced by Adam Dutkiewicz , the guitarist of Killswitch Engage . The album Continent was released on August 19, 2008. At the moment the band has only one guitarist, but originally three. Singer Vincent Bennett once said at the time when three guitarists were active:
“Most bands need to record multiple guitar tracks in the studio to achieve the kind of heaviness; The Acacia Strain deliver every time they step on stage. "
“Most bands have to record an awful lot of guitar tracks in the studio to get some kind of heaviness; The Acacia Strain deliver that every time they go on stage. "
After the 2010 album Wormwood and with the move to the Rise Records label, the band released their new album Death is the Only Mortal on October 9, 2012 .
On May 19, 2013 guitarist and songwriter Daniel "DL" Laskiewicz announced his departure from the band.
On June 4, 2013 the band announced the two new members Devin Shidaker (ex- Oceano ) and Richard Gomez (ex- Molotov Solution ).
