As Daylight Dies ( English for "As the daylight dies") is the fourth album by the US metalcore band Killswitch Engage . The album was released in Europe on November 17, 2006 via Roadrunner Records . In North America, the album was only released on November 21, 2006.

History of origin

The album was produced by guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz. For the first time, Dutkiewicz took over the mixing and mastering of the album. Andy Sneap did this on the previous two albums. The first single My Curse has been played on US radios since October 30, 2006 . On October 10, 2006, the album appeared for the first time on the Internet exchange sites. The German magazine Rock Hard named As Daylight Dies album of the month. A special edition with four bonus songs was released in mid-2007. The song This Fire Burns contained there is also on the theme CD Wreckless Intent of the wrestling league WWE and is the entrance theme of CM Punk , but was also used by Randy Orton at short notice .

style

As Daylight This is more playful than its predecessor. However, it is also more suitable for radio and has therefore lost its hardness, which can be attached to songs like My Curse , which was played on the radio.
