Suicide Silence is a five-member American deathcore band from Riverside , California .

history

Founded in 2002, the band released self-recorded demos in 2003 and 2004. In 2005 the EP Suicide Silence was released on the American label Third Degree Records , which was reissued in England in 2006 by In at the Deep End Records .

On September 18, 2007, the debut album The Cleansing was released , which was produced by John Travis ( Static-X ) and of which 7250 copies were sold in the first week. The album is the best-selling debut album by a band in the history of the Century Media label and debuted at number 94 on the US Billboard 200 , but only stayed in the charts for a week.

In February 2009, the recordings for the second studio album No Time To Bleed began , which was released on June 30, 2009. On July 8, 2009, "No Time to Bleed" entered the US Billboard charts at number 32.

In October 2010 the band re-released their album No Time to Bleed as a tour edition. In addition to the conventional songs, there were also two bonus songs on the album, such as a DVD with video material for some live performances and three video clips.

The third studio album The Black Crown was released in America on July 12, 2011, in Europe on July 18, 2011. The first published song is You Only Live Once via Facebook, Fuck Everything has already been presented at concerts.

Singer Mitchell Adam Lucker died on November 1, 2012 at 6:17 a.m. California time of serious injuries as a result of a motorcycle accident that occurred on the evening of October 31, 2012. He left behind his wife and a daughter.

On October 2, 2013, the band released excerpts from a new recording of the song You Only Live Once with their new singer Eddie Hermida. Two days later it was confirmed that Hermida would be the new lead singer on Suicide Silence. He was previously the lead singer in the deathcore band All Shall Perish . On October 23, the group announced they were working on new songs for their fourth studio album. On December 16, 2013, it was announced that the DVD Ending Is The Beginning: The Mitch Lucker Memorial Show would be released on February 18, 2014 in North America . A month later, the release in Europe should follow.

In June 2014, Suicide Silence played at Rock am Ring and Rock im Park . The fourth album of the band, which is the first with the new singer Eddie Hermida, was released on July 14, 2014 and entered the charts again. It's called You Can´t Stop Me and it was released through Nuclear Blast . A USA concert tour with The Black Dahlia Murder and Chelsea Grin is planned between October 3 and 30, 2014 , which will include 24 concerts. Beartooth , Whitechapel and Machine Head can also be seen at individual concerts . A multi-week European tour with Thy Art Is Murder , Fit for an Autopsy and Black Tongue (UK only) will follow in November and December 2014 .
