Tommy Clufetos (born December 30, 1979 in Detroit , Michigan ) is an American drummer in the genres of heavy metal , alternative metal , instrumental rock and hard rock .

He played or plays u. a. with Black Sabbath , Ozzy Osbourne , Rob Zombie , Alice Cooper and Ted Nugent .

biography

At the age of seven Clufetos got his first drumsticks and at the age of eleven he was already playing in his father's band. Since he was fourteen he toured the United States , including with Mitch Ryder . In 2001 he made his first world tour with Ted Nugent, in 2004 with Alice Cooper. Rob Zombie took a short tour break in 2010 and Clufetos was at home in Los Angeles when Ozzy Osbourne's management called and asked him to play a new guitarist at an audition because Osbourne's drummer Mike Bordin was unavailable at the time. Shortly afterwards he was asked again to play at a concert in Anaheim , which, according to Clufetos, “was probably the final step for Ozzy to bring me into his band. I was lucky and I was in the right place at the right time. ”In 2012, Clufetos played with Black Sabbath replacing Bill Ward at the O2 Academy Birmingham , the Download Festival and Lollapalooza . Clufetos currently lives in Los Angeles .
