Gorguts is a death metal band from Québec .

Band history

The band was formed in 1989. Through her only demo ... And Then Comes Lividity , she got a record deal with Roadrunner Records . After the second album and the separation from Roadrunner Records, Gorguts broke up. In 1998 the singer Luc Lemay returned with a new line-up. Two more albums were recorded and released through Olympic Records. After the suicide of the drummer Steve MacDonald, the band broke up again. Some of the former members have founded a new band called Negativa, which has since disbanded after a highly regarded EP. Gorguts have been active again since December 2008, and in 2013 the album Colored Sands was released .
