Aron Erlichman (born March 2, 1983 in Los Angeles , California ), also known by his pseudonym Deuce , is an American rock and metal singer , rapper and music producer . He is one of the founding members of the crossover band Hollywood Undead and has been a soloist since separating from the band in 2009.

Career

With Hollywood Undead

Erlichman began to write his first songs as early as 2001. In 2005 he founded the band Hollywood Undead with his then friend Jorel Decker, in which he worked as a singer and producer. The group's first song, The Kids , was promoted by Jeffree Star . Due to his work as the band's music producer, he initially gave himself the pseudonym Tha Producer , but changed it to Deuce shortly afterwards .

With the band he brought out the debut album Swan Songs in 2008 and the live album Desperate Measures in 2009 , both of which entered the official US charts. At the latest with the debut album Swan Songs , the group achieved their national breakthrough. In the meantime the album received gold in the USA. In 2009 he left the band due to internal differences with the other band members.

As a solo musician

In 2008 Deuce was signed by A&M Records and Octone Records as a solo artist. The Two Thousand Eight EP with four songs was released in 2008 by the record companies . This was followed by a label change to Five Seven Music which released the debut album Nine Lives . It debuted at number 37 on the US charts. He worked with Ronnie Radke and Jeffree Star , among others .

With his live band, consisting of singer Tony Leonard, lead guitarist Jimmy Yuma, his sister and keyboardist Arina Erlichman (Arina Chloe), guitarist James Kloeppel and drummer Tye Gaddis, he took part in the Flight to Unite tour of Blood on the Dance Floor , brokenCYDE , William Control , Polkadot Cadaver and The Bunny the Bear . In August 2012 Deuce played on the Uproar Festival tour with In This Moment and Thousand Foot Krutch . In 2013 he toured with Eskimo Callboy as opening act for Kottonmouth Kings . In 2013 he played at Rock on the Range , on March 28, 2014 he performed for the first time outside the USA in Moscow , Russia .

Controversy

Deuce took his former label A&M Records / Octone Records to court because the latter accused the record companies of breaching their contracts. The labels, however, did not publish his music, as it was not classified as commercially profitable due to the vulgar and criminal-looking lyrics. The trial was conducted on a private basis with the result that he could release his music on another label. He was also allowed to keep his pseudonym and his mask.

On May 25, 2012, Erlichman is said to have been knocked down by his former bandmates after a concert. He had played at a club in Los Angeles that day. After playing his set, he left the club. He testified to police that his former musician colleagues from Hollywood Undead lay in wait and wait for him to beat him. He files charges against Dylan Alvarez (Funny Man) and Jorel Decker (J-Dog), because he wants them to be recognized.
