In 2011 they also played at the Mair1 Festival and the Traffic Jam Open Air and toured Germany and Austria (three concerts there).
The debut album Bury Me in Vegas was released in 2012. In the same year they played at the Soundgarden Festival in Bad Nauheim , completed an Asian tour through Japan, the People's Republic of China and Russia and then supported Callejon on their Blitzkreuz tour .
In 2012 Michael "Micha" Malitzki left the band and David Friedrich became the new drummer .
In 2013 the group was on the "Get Drunk or Fuck Off Euro Tour" through Europe with Intohimo , Close to Home and The Browning . In April 2013, the group appeared in the United States with Kottonmouth Kings , Deuce (formerly Hollywood Undead ), Dizzy Wright and Snow Tha Product. Appearances at several festivals in Germany and Japan followed.
On September 13, 2013 Eskimo Callboy were honored at the Metal Hammer Awards in the category "Up and Coming".
In 2014 the second album We Are the Mess was released. In Japan the album was released through Warner Music . In Germany the album rose to number 8 and in Austria to number 64 on the official longplay charts. In spring 2014 the group will tour Japan again. The third album Crystals was released in 2015. In 2017 the album The Scene was released .
On November 1, 2019, Eskimo Callboy's fifth studio album was released, titled Rehab (English about "drug withdrawal").
On February 12, 2020, the band announced via their social media appearances that the previous singer "Sushi" will no longer sing for the band. On the same day "Sushi" announced its new project called "Ghostkid". As "Ghostkid", "Sushi" will soon be working on their own music, which will continue to be part of Metalcore.
On April 24, 2020, front man Kevin Ratajczak announced via YouTube that the search for a new singer was complete. After an application phase, a video followed on June 4, 2020 with the announcement that Nico Sallach (former singer of the band To the Rats and Wolves ) will be the band's new lead singer. Eskimo Callboy also announced a new EP at the same time.
style
The band plays metalcore with post-hardcore influences that they mix with elements of techno . This style of music is known as trancecore . The group names bands like Asking Alexandria and Attack Attack! . In the album Rehab from 2019, the band's departure from metalcore was seen in part.
In contrast to many other bands belonging to the post-hardcore scene, the lyrics do not have any political-critical backgrounds. The lyrics are more about partying, sex and excessive alcohol.
