The Browning is an American deathcore band from Kansas City , Missouri , founded in 2005 by singer Jonny McBee.

Band history

The band was formed in early 2005 and was originally a solo project by Jonny McBee. In the spring of 2009 he performed with the rapper Matt Keck. They have already produced two demos together.

Later in 2010, Matt Keck left the band to pursue a comic career. A change comes and drummer Noah Robertson, guitarist Brian Cravey, and bassist Jesse Glidewell rejoin the band and work on an EP. In late 2011, Brian Cravey was replaced by Collin Woroniak, and released her video for Bloodlust . The band's first album, Burn This World , was released on October 3, 2011.

On November 16, 2012 it was announced that Noah Robertson and Jesse Glidewell had left the band. Drew Ellis played bass and Cody Stewart was invited to participate as the new drummer. Jonny McBee is now the only founding member that remains.

On August 2, 2013, the band announced that they would release a new album called Hypernova , as well as a new song from that album called Gravedigger .

On July 26th, 2015, Collin Woroniak announced on Facebook that he would be leaving the band for unknown reasons. A year later, on June 24, 2016, the band released their third album Isolation .

On August 16, 2018, the band released a new song called Carnage , which includes a feature with rapper Jake Hill. In addition to eleven other songs, this song can be found on the new album Geist , which has been available since October 25, 2018.

Music style and lyrics

Although Jonny McBee originally had a project between crunkcore and rap metal , the band currently plays a combination of metal and electro . The Browning plays deathcore and metalcore and mixes hardstyle , trance , electro and dubstep elements with it. Her lyrics focus on many different topics, like science fiction themed songs with aliens , zombies , vampires , Pokémon or songs with positive messages.
