The Blitzkreuz tour was a concert tour of the German metalcore band Callejon , which between October and November 2012 led a total of twelve concerts through Germany and Austria to promote the album Blitzkreuz . The tour began on October 24, 2012 with a performance in the Hirsch in Nuremberg and ended on November 10 in the Live Music Hall in Cologne . The group also played in Saarbrücken , Vienna , Münster , Leipzig , Karlsruhe , Frankfurt am Main , Berlin , Munich , Hanover and Hamburg . The performance in Vienna was the only concert in Austria during this tour. Some shows on this tour were sold out, including in Berlin and Cologne. According to a post on Mediacenter, the entire tour was sold out. The tour was sponsored by FUZE , Metal Hammer , In-Your-Face.de , Impericon , Monster Energy-Drink and Kingstan max. On this tour, pieces from the albums Zombieactionhauptquartier , Videodrom and Blitzkreuz were played.
As opening act played Eskimo Callboy from Castrop-Rauxel and the electrical project WassBass of KIZ singer Nico. He was also on stage with Callejon as a guest singer on the songs "Porn from Spain" and "Porn from Spain II". In June the band played four concerts together with WassBass to draw attention to the Blitzkreuz tour.
Tour concludes in Cologne
On November 10, 2012, the group played their last concert of the tour in the Live Music Hall in Cologne . However, an accident occurred around 10 p.m. Parts of the hall ceiling, which was made of plasterboard , fell on visitors in the front rows, injuring eleven visitors. Nine of you were rushed to hospital with bruises and abrasions. At times there was a suspicion that a person had sneaked unauthorized through a skylight and thus triggered the accident. The musicians and law enforcement officers of the Live Music Hall ensured an orderly evacuation of the area and thus prevented a mass panic. The group announced that same evening that the concert would be repeated and that the tickets for that evening would remain valid. At times the criminal police investigated because of negligent bodily harm.
On November 12, 2012, the place where the ceiling panel fell was inspected. The suspicion of manipulation was not confirmed. Investigations instead showed that wear and tear were responsible for the fall of the 25 square meter plasterboard. The building authority ordered the complete demolition of the false ceiling. This was completely removed that night so that the concert of the Berlin rock band Bonaparte can take place on November 13, 2012.
