Tours and promotion

Between October 24th and November 10th 2012 the group played twelve concerts, eleven of which were held in Germany and one in Austria . The concert tour was accompanied by the post-hardcore band Eskimo Callboy and the electronic project of the KIZ rapper Nico Seyfrid , WassBass . The entire Blitzkreuz tour was sold out. The tour ended on November 10, 2012 in the Live Music Hall in Cologne , Germany hit the headlines after parts of the ceiling fell into the audience and eleven people were injured. The musicians prevented a mass panic . Even days after the canceled concert, the situation remained tense. The criminal police investigated at times on suspicion of vandalism and multiple dangerous bodily harm. The concert was rescheduled later in the E-Werk .

On March 1, 2013, the band was seen in the program On Tape on ZDFkultur . A concert that the group had given the day before was broadcast in full. The group had an appearance at Circus HalliGalli on March 25 of the same year. Appearances at With Full Force and Wacken Open Air followed . Together with the Japanese band Coldrain and the British band While She Sleeps , Callejon was seen in February 2014 in the opening act for Bullet for My Valentine on their European tour. It was the group's first ever European concert tour. This led Callejon through Germany , Luxembourg , France , Italy , Austria , the Netherlands and Switzerland , the Czech Republic and Poland .

Reviews

Michael Edele from the online music magazine Laut.de describes that the band is following in the footsteps of the Swedish melodic death metal band Sonic Syndicate with pieces like Coyote UGLY and especially Meine Liebe , but without being able to leave their own mark. In Porn from Spain II show the group where their musical roots are. In order to bring out the verbal wrap-arounds appropriately, the group brought three major musicians on board: Nico Seyfrid , Mille Petrozza and Sebastian Madsen . Lyrically, the group has become tamer, which is what the critic makes when switching from Nuclear Blast to a major label. However, according to Edele, there are also interesting texts in the album that are worth reading. He called the last piece of child in the fog "Emo Schmonzette". Edele gave the album 3 out of 5 points.

Florian Krapp from the German Metal Hammer described that the change to a major by no means led to a complete change in style and that they were able to further refine their music style with a thicker production. In the eponymous piece Blitzkreuz , previous albums such as Willkommen im Beerdigungscafé are even cited. Krapp writes that with this album the group was delivering "really big tennis". He awarded a rating of 6 out of 7 possible points. Fabian Just from the Metal.de portal wrote that the band, despite catchy hits, “had enough metal and eggs to bring the mosh pits to a boil in the republic.” Fabian Just awarded a total of eight points. Peter Kubaschk from Powermetal.de is of the opinion that the songs come across as varied, from rock-hard to ballad-like. The songs were conceived for the stage and would be very well received there, but the critic sees the previous videodrom as the band's better album. Nevertheless, the album received a rating of seven points.
