"On tape" is an interactive music TV program from ZDFkultur . It is created in collaboration with tape.tv in Berlin-Weißensee . The program was produced by Studio.TV.Film. The producer was Norbert Busè .
concept
Once a month, presenter Rainer Maria Jilg welcomes an artist or a band in Berlin to tape.tv Studio # 1, a former workshop that has been converted into a small club. The program was 45 minutes long in 2011, and has been 60 minutes since February 2012. It largely consists of a concert by the guests. There are also discussions with the moderator and the audience.
The programs are streamed live on the Internet the day before they are broadcast on television. There, viewers can write questions to the artists in the chat and also get involved directly in the program via webcam at the so-called Taperoulette (see Chatroulette ).
Another component is the "on tape house band", a show band consisting of prominent musicians from the bands "Unimportant People" and "Band of the week" ( Tent , July , Madsen , Virginia Now! ). Singer Alex Eß also acts as a sidekick.
The program is broadcast several times on ZDFkultur and 3sat . It can also be viewed online at zdfkultur.de and tape.tv after it has been broadcast.
