WhoMadeWho is a Danish band that was formed in Copenhagen in 2003.
history
WhoMadeWho gained notoriety in Scandinavia by releasing an EP with cover versions of Electro House titles such as Flat Beat or Benny Benassis Satisfaction . In 2005 the untitled debut album by the trio of Jeppe Kjellberg (guitar, vocals), Tomas Høffding (also known as Bon Homme - bass, vocals) and Tomas Barfod (drums) was released, followed by an acoustic version of the first album under the title Green Versions . In 2009 the band released their album The Plot on Gomma Records .
Produced The Plot from the Munich DJs and musicians Jonas Imbery and Mathias Modica . The band appears in black and white harlequin costumes and "completely dispenses with classic pop and rockisms such as instrumental solos," said the critic Jens-Christian Rabe in his review of The Plot . "Music that brings this moment (of hipness) to the point, as the music that WhoMadeWho created on The Plot should not be available in this sense at the moment ."
Drummer Tomas Barfod has a background in electronic club music and previously worked as a DJ, remixer and producer; Singer Jeppe Kjellberg comes from the field of jazz and has a degree from the Copenhagen Conservatory for Rhythmic Music . Bassist Tomas Høffding previously played in Danish garage rock bands.
