At the Splash Festival 2009, the rapper Bernd Bass (Felix Brummer) appeared for the first time together with the rock band Neon Blocks . At the end of 2009 they went into the studio together and formed the band Kraftklub. On February 13, 2010 they released their first EP Adonis Maximus at a record release party in the Chemnitz Club Atomino. In September they won the New Music Award presented by various ARD radio stations . Then some bigger labels became aware of them. Kraftklub has been under contract with Universal Domestic Rock / Vertigo since the end of January 2011. Kraftklub acted as the opening act for Beatsteaks , Fettes Brot , Casper , Die Toten Hosen , Die Ärzte and Rammstein . On August 5, 2011 Kraftklub released their first single Too Young on Universal.

Breakthrough with Mit K (2011-2013)

On September 29, 2011 Kraftklub entered the Federal Vision Song Contest 2011 for the Free State of Saxony with the song I don't want to go to Berlin and achieved 89 points and thus 5th place. The single was released the following day and entered the Media Control chart at number 45. The debut album Mit K was released on January 20, 2012 and surprisingly reached number 1 on the Media Control album charts. Although the next single Songs for Liam was not officially released until April 2012, it reached number 40 in the German charts on March 23, 2012 due to download sales.

On April 6, 2012, KIZ and Kraftklub gave an unannounced concert on the roof of the Chemnitz commercial complex Terminal 3 as part of the documentary series Durch die Nacht mit…, commissioned by ARTE . The performance was announced just a few hours in advance via social networks, despite the ban on dancing on Good Friday, and as a result of the crowd, the police cordoned off Chemnitz's Brückenstraße.

For Record Store Day 2012 Kraftklub released the song Songs for Liam in a version with Casper as a vinyl single. This is limited to 700 pieces.

Kraftklub gave the first concert outside Europe as part of the “Con-K” tour on September 19, 2012 in Colombia : Bogotá , Medellín , Cali and Cartagena.

In 2013 Kraftklub was nominated (among others) together with the group Frei.Wild for the Echo music award in the Rock / Alternative National category. On March 6, 2013, the group announced that it would be removed from the list of nominees, as Kraftklub does not want to be named in a row with Frei.Wild. After Mia. And Die Ärzte had withdrawn their participation, Frei.Wild was removed from the list of nominees, and Kraftklub received the "National Critics' Prize".

The song Your Girls can be heard on the soundtrack of the PC and console game FIFA 13 . It is the only German title in the game. Kraftklub has a guest appearance in the song Ganz Schön okay on the album Hinterland by the German rapper Casper .

In black (2014-2016)

On May 20, 2014, the music video Hand in Hand (in a version with bassist Till Brummer on vocals) by a supposedly new band called In Schwarz appeared on YouTube . The video was uploaded by the music label Audiolith Records . On June 2, 2014, In Schwarz appeared on the television show Circus HalliGalli and revealed themselves as a power club.

The first single from the new album is called Hand in Hand and was released on June 22, 2014. At MDR Sputnik , Kraftklub presented their second single, Unser Fans, on August 7, 2014 .

The album In Schwarz was released on September 12, 2014 and, like its predecessor, reached number one in Germany.

On November 20, 2015, the first live album Randale was released . Part of the DVD is a recording of the concert in the Max-Schmeling-Halle in Berlin on March 6, 2015. In January 2016, the Randale tour followed through several German cities.

No Night for Nobody (since 2017)

On March 16, during a 10-hour Facebook livestream, they released the first single, Dein Lied, from the album No Night for Nobody , which was then announced , which was released on June 2, 2017. The title of the album is an allusion to the album No Power for Nobody by the band Ton Steine Scherben .
