In black is the second studio album by the Chemnitz band Kraftklub and was released on September 12, 2014 on the Vertigo and Universal labels . Stylistically, the album mixes the genres of indie rock and rap . Like its predecessor, the album reached number one in the German album charts.

Cover design

The album cover shows two drawn hands, each forming the letter K with their fingers . In the lower part of the picture is the black and white lettering Kraftklub and at the bottom right is the white title In Schwarz on a red background. The background of the cover is black.

Chart successes and singles

In Schwarz entered the German charts at number 1 on September 26, 2014 and in the following weeks it was at ranks 5, 10 and 15. Overall, it was able to stay in the top 100 with interruptions for 52 weeks. The album also hit the charts in Austria and Switzerland. The sound carrier was ranked 31st in the German annual charts for 2014.

The songs Hand in Hand and Our fans were released as singles in advance . Music videos for the songs Wie ich , Shots in the Air and Blau appeared later .

Sales figures and awards

In Black was awarded a platinum record in 2017 for more than 200,000 copies sold in Germany .
