Flo Mega (* 1979 in Bremen ; bourgeois Florian Bosum ) is a German soul - singer from Bremen. His artist name, which is made up of the beginning of his first name “Flo” (- rian) and the last letter of the Greek alphabet Ω = “Omega”, comes from his time as a hip-hop artist.

Flo Mega's musical career began with hip-hop in his hometown of Bremen. Together with local figures such as FlowinImmO or Centrifugal , he recorded plates. He studied at the University of the Arts in Bremen . His music can be described as German-speaking soul in the style of the 1960s and 1970s.

Flo Mega has been working with the Berlin soul and funk band Ruffcats since 2007 . In 2010, he signed a recording contract with the label Home Ground Records of Four Music . In October 2010 the EP Filmriss was released , which contains five German-language soul tracks. In 2011 Flo Mega released his debut album The Really Real Things . With the song Back on it , he reached second place at the Bundesvision Song Contest 2011 . Both records were produced by Kraans de Lutin .

At the end of 2011 he toured Germany, Austria and Switzerland with the Ruffcats. He appeared in television shows like Schlag den Raab or Inas Nacht . The listeners of the Bremen radio station Bremen Vier voted his album The Real Things to be “Album of the Year 2011”. On January 24th, 2014 he released his second studio album Mann über Bord . In September of the same year he took part in the Bundesvision Song Contest with Nico Suave and the Lied Gedicht . For the sampler Lauter Werder for the 120th birthday of SV Werder Bremen he contributed a song about their former left defender Jonny Otten .

Flo Mega lives in Bremen and temporarily on the Lower Rhine in Krefeld .
