Nico Suave is a German rapper from Menden (Sauerland) .

Life

Suave grew up in the Sauerland town of Menden with his dizygoti twin brother. He was interested in American hip hop since he was a child . He has been rapping since he was 16. Influenced by Ferris MC , Flowin Immo (then Freaks Association Bremen ) and Fünf Sterne deluxe , he began to write German texts. At the age of 16 he founded the Provincial Aroma group with Dabru Tack and Kraans de Lutin . They performed together in local youth centers. The only track released at this time is a pirated copy on the inside sampler of the Bremen label OP23.

In 1997 he gave up his job as a postman and devoted himself to music. He became known in 1998 with his part in the star sign Cancer of Eins Zwo on their album Hazardous Half-Knowledge . Eins Zwo became aware of Nico Suave through Dendemann , who also comes from Menden and knew him from his youth. He then toured Germany with Dendemann and DJ Rabauke .

Nico Suave met DJ Sparc in Kiel , and in February 2000 they performed together for the first time in Kiel. He moved to Hamburg and published his first Maxi-CD Münchhausen '94 , produced by Ill Will . Further guest appearances on albums by Deichkind and DJ Friction followed.

with Dendemann in Hamburg 2000

From April 2001 his first own album Suave was sold; The previously released single Vergesslich made it into the MTV rotation and reached the airplay charts and the single charts for two weeks . In June 2001 he recorded the single audition appointment alongside Sleepwalker as part of the "Hamburg City Allstars" . This placed itself in the German single charts for nine weeks and reached its highest chart listing with rank 44. Due to the collapse of the German-language hip-hop boom in the following years and the restructuring of the Universal Music group, with which he had been under contract until then, he lost his major contract in the next few years and parted with his previous management.

It currently appears under the Berlin label No Limits . His new CD was created with the support of the Bock auf'n Beat formation. Among other things, Blumentopf and the Beginner can be heard on the album .

In April 2007 he released “Suave & Friends”. The album was produced with “The Gunna”, a young producer from Dortmund. On this record, as the name suggests, he was supported by many people, such as B. Denyo, Blumentopf, Harris, Franky Kubrick etc. The video "Kool" feat. Blumentopf entered the TRL Top Ten Charts at number 5 and lasted for several weeks. The instrumental and the hook were produced by F. and TheOne from Audiotreats, who also produced the album "Pfütze des Eisbergs" by Dendemann.

In 2009 he performed on behalf of the Goethe-Institut together with Roger Rekless in Australia and New Zealand in the cities of Melbourne , Brisbane , Bundaberg , Hobart , Adelaide , Canberra and Sydney . The rapper gave workshops for students, among other things.
