Dangerous half-knowledge is a music album by the Hamburg hip-hop group Eins Zwo . It was released on May 8, 1999 on the Yo Mama record label .

Music genre

The album is assigned to the German rap genre and was best known for Dendemann's "Reibeisenstimme" and his rap, which is characterized by numerous puns .

History of origin

The pieces Hand on Heart and Thank You Gut were released as singles. In the music video for the single Hand on Heart , the duo parodied the talk show The Jerry Springer Show, which is known for beating its guests . In addition to Dendemann and DJ Rabauke, the video featured five stars deluxe , Fettes Brot , Jan Delay , Fischmob and other members of the Mongo Clikke .

Publications and chart successes

The album entered the German album charts on May 17, 1999 and remained there for 20 weeks until October 3, 1999. The highest chart position reached was number 10.

In the month of publication, dangerous half-knowledge was voted album of the month in music magazine Juice .

The music magazine De: Bug also rated the album positively:

"The work alone that does it against the mainstream, which is slowly developing into an epidemic, behaves in such a way that nobody is really angry, because it is as little worthwhile as waging war, is considerable, but Eins Zwo just rocks."

The writer Ariane Barth remarked in the article series HipHop-Kultur published by Spiegel in 2001 that the album had an "inexplicable magic that worked on almost every music critic."
