Fischmob was a Hamburg hip-hop group from the 1990s .
Band history
In 1993 Sven Mikolajewicz, Daniel Sommer, Rafael Stachowiak and Stefan Kozalla founded a band that emerged from the groups TBC Attack and Daily Opressors from Hamburg and Flensburg . In 1994 the project, which at that time was still known as TBC Attack + Fischmob , separated from the first part of the name and from then on was called only Fischmob.
In 1994 the first single Ey, Aller was released . Bonanzarad followed in the same year. In 1995 the debut album Men Can't Show His Emotions was released . The album contains socially critical songs ( you call me Penner , 4'55 ), serious pieces, some fun songs ( hash and rock as well as jazz music & alcohol ) and electronic experiments. The album is one of the early highlights of the Hamburg hip-hop scene. Cosmic DJ and DJ Koze then took part in the single Nordic by Nature from Fettes Brot , which this group made known overnight. Fishmob toured Germany a little later as the opening act for the doctors , whereupon their manager Axel Schulz took over the management. Several maxis and singles show the preference of Sven Francisco and DJ Koze, who both also tackled their own solo project with Mikolajewicz and Adolf Noise.
The second album Power was much more catchy than the debut album and was released in 1998. The track Susanne zur Freiheit was also released as a single and reached number 72 in the German single charts. a. Dendemann , the Stieber Twins , Smudo and Michael Beck from Die Fantastischen Vier . The album reached number 29 without significant airplay from MTV or VIVA .
The group broke up when Sven Francisco announced he was getting out. He did ambient-oriented solo projects, who also worked with lotte ohm. and Christian von Aster collaborated ( Behind these walls , song for Dungeon Keeper 2 , German chart entry at number 44), under his family name Mikolajewicz and Stachy as Hofuku Sochi , while Koze and Cosmic founded the band International Pony with the Münster-based solo entertainer Erobique . Koze works regularly as a DJ and releases records under his own name or as Adolf Noise .
