Boys Noize (born Alexander Ridha , * 22. August 1982 in Hamburg ) is a German techno - DJ and producer . He is also the owner of the music label Boysnoize Records, founded in 2005, and lives in Berlin . He is also a member of the duo Dog Blood , which he runs together with Skrillex .

Boys Noize has released several recordings for the French label Kitsuné , Tigas Turbo Recordings and DJ Hells International DeeJay Gigolo Records since 2004 . He previously appeared under the pseudonyms 909 D1SCO , Morgentau , Eastwest , and as part of Kid Alex , Puzique, and Einzeller .

Boys Noize made remixes for Daft Punk , Justice , A Trak, Diplo , Skrillex , The Chemical Brothers , Snoop Dogg , Bloc Party , Depeche Mode , Feist , Röyksopp , Modeselektor and Rammstein, among others . His songs and remixes are played by DJs like Erol Alkan , Justice , SebastiAn , Tiga and 2 Many DJs . According to Rolling Stone , Boys Noize is now one of the 10 most important DJs in the world. In addition to the Independent Music Award , which he received in 2010, he was also voted "Best Electronic Act" for three consecutive years by the online music service Beatport .

In 2005 Ridha founded the Boysnoize Records label , on which all subsequent albums and singles are released. His debut album Oi Oi Oi was released in September 2007. The first single from this album is called Don't Believe The Hype and contains two remixes by Surkin.

After the two singles Jeffer and Starter were released together in August 2009, Boys Noize's second solo album Power was released on September 29, 2009. In 2010, he produced his album Ivory Tower with Chilly Gonzales . In the same year he started the sub-label BNR TRAX.

In 2012 he appeared under the pseudonym Elax , the first song under this pseudonym can be found on the Miami Noize 3 sampler under the title Don't Do It . In October 2012 Boys Noize released his third studio album Out Of The Black . In 2013 Boysnoize Records celebrated their 100th release; The Chemical Brothers and Justice contributed remixes by XTC and Ich RU for the occasion . In 2015 he worked with Jean Michel Jarre on his album Electronica 1 - The Time Machine on the track The Time Machine . The Go Hard EP was also released, a number 1 album on Beatport.

In May 2016, Ridha's fourth studio album Mayday was released , for which he worked with Poliça , Hudson Mohawke , Benga, Remy Banks and Spank Rock . The track of the same name Mayday also appeared on the soundtrack to Oliver Stone's biography Snowden .

In 2020 the song Layle made it into the Flemish charts in Belgium as a remix by the Syrian singer Omar Souleyman .
