Tobias David Lützenkirchen (* 1977 in Neuss ) is a German producer and DJ in the field of electronic dance music . He is of Cuban descent on his father's side.

music

His first track under his own name was released in August 2005 on the sampler Nature One 2005 - Mission to Future . Together with John Acquaviva, the track Zombie made it onto the best-selling list of the online music store beatport in 2008 .

His sound is characterized by the fact that he combines different elements from techno, house, trance and rave without clearly classifying himself into a genre. He himself describes his style as neo or new school techno.

In 2006 he founded the Tabula Raza label with the support of the Systematic label manager Marc Romboy . In the same year Yello's remix EP - Oh Yeah 'Oh Six, with remixes by Booka Shade , Huntemann and Lützenkirchen was released. In 2007 his label "Platform B" followed, a subsidiary of the Great Stuff Recordings label, under which he also gained fame within his preferred music scene.

Tobias Lützenkirchen was best known for the track 3 Tage wach , which appeared on the label Stil vor Talent in 2008 . It reached number 1 in the DCC (German Club Charts) as well as in the ODC (Official Dance Charts). In addition, a music video and a remix version of Scooter were released . The track sparked controversial discussions, the Spiegel even called the track a drug anthem . Lützenkirchen mentions in his blog that listeners shouldn't take the track too seriously. This track should definitely not be understood as a “call to drug use”.
