Interactive
Interactive is a German band in the field of electronic dance music .
history
Interactive was founded in 1990 by Ramon Zenker and Jens Lissat, initially as a studio project and with their release “The Techno Wave” they were one of the first German techno projects. For the next production "No Control" they got Marc Innocent as a singer to reinforce the voice. This also gave birth to the idea that Marc and Ramon Interactive would present as a live act. With “Who Is Elvis” they then achieved their national and international breakthrough in 1992 and made it into the sales charts in several countries as one of the first purely techno productions. In 1994 Ramon decided to only work in the studio and Marc presented Interactive to the outside world alone. During this time they also achieved their biggest hit, which was even awarded gold in Germany and Australia: "Forever Young". This was followed by other hits such as "Living Without Your Love" and "Tell Me When". After working with changing singers from 1996, Ramon discontinued the project in 2002 for the time being.
Reunion and comeback
On November 26th, 2016 Interactive reported back to the original line-up of Ramon Zenker and Marc Innocent as part of their reunion show on “The 90s - Live On Stage” by Radio sunshine live . Since then they have been working as a live / DJ act again.
Publications and style of music
"Who is Elvis" and the early pieces that followed were characterized by the fact that they only had one line of text that was repeated over and over again, for example in "Dildo", "Amok" or "Elevator Up & Down". The group later expanded their musical spectrum: Pieces like “Fanatic” or “Sanctuary” are associated with trance , “Hearts Harmony” and “Set Me Free” with the rave or “The Sun Always Shines On TV” and “Forever Young” with the dance floor . The group was also responsible for various remixes for other well-known artists such as Mark 'Oh , Scooter or U 96 .
The band achieved further success with “Tell Me When” and “Living Without Your Love”. Interactive was selected along with other renowned groups for the VIVA Reunion CD “ Queen Dance Traxx” for the cover mix “We Will Rock You”.
Two albums have been released so far : the debut album "Intercollection" (1992) and the following album "Touché" (1995). At the end of 2016, as part of Interactive's reunion, the best-of album "Retroactive - The Very Best .... And More!" Was released, which also contains two previously unreleased songs from 1995.
Members
Jens Lissat
Jens Lissat started with electrostyle projects in the late 1970s, but only became known with a cover version of the piece " Der Erdbeermund " in the late 1980s.
Ramon Zenker
Ramon Zenker worked as a sound engineer at the age of 19 and achieved - under the name Honesty 69 - his first success with a cover version of the piece "French Kiss", which placed in the top 10 of the German charts . Other successful projects were Bellini , Paffendorf , Fragma and Hardfloor . As the only permanent member of Interactive, he was responsible for the production of the titles alongside Lissat .
Marc Innocent
Marc Innocent was also part of the band from the start and was mainly responsible for the lyrics. In 1983 he and Zenker founded their first synth pop band "Sample and Hold". Zenker operated the keyboards, while Marc Innocent was responsible for the lyrics and vocals.
Andreas Schneider
Schneider only joined Interactive later. He was considered an all-round talent because he was jointly responsible for the production as well as for the sounds and lyrics. He also produced the act “ Perplexer ” with Zenker .
Discography
The first interactive tracks were published in collaboration with the legendary Krefeld disco "Königsburg" in Krefeld, where Jens Lissat was active as a resident DJ at the time. Above all, the first publication “The Techno Wave” was honored by the “Königsburg” with the lyrics to “... dance in the castle ...”.
