Jens Lissat

Jens Lissat (* in Pinneberg ) is a German musician and DJ .

Career

Lissat's DJ career began in 1980 in the Hamburg Star Club , where he played American disco music. From 1981 he played in the Hamburg disco Trinity . In the 1980s he hung up in the Zeppelin and Voila in Hamburg before moving to North Rhine-Westphalia in 1987, where he performed in the Königsburg in Krefeld .

From 1983 the first remixes of other pieces of music were created. Lissat also published numerous bootlegs . From 1987 he produced his own pieces and released one of the first German house productions with Work The Housesound . Numerous records in the fields of dance , house and techno followed .

In 1989 he succeeded under the name Sigmund und seine Freu (n) de the first chart hit with a cover version of the piece Der Erdbeermund . Another cover version followed under the project name Komtur , Hans Von Stoffeln (My Castle Is Done) , based on a piece by Carlos Perón . Lissat produced a remix of the world hit Bacardi Feeling for Kate Yanai .

In the early 1990s he founded the band Interactive (initially Phenomania) with Ramon Zenker , with whom he produced chart hits such as Who is Elvis and Forever Young . The latter achieved gold status with more than 400,000 maxi singles sold . In the 1990s, Lissat turned increasingly to techno and appeared at Mayday and the Love Parade , among others . His resident clubs were the Warehouse in Cologne and the Poison Club in Düsseldorf .

Since 2002 he has published house and techhouse productions together with Marco Wolters as Lissat & Voltaxx . Both also perform as a DJ duo.

Lissat operates the music labels Tactical Records, Monkey League, Studio3000 Records.
