ZYX Music is a German record label from Merenberg in Hesse .

history

In 1971 Bernhard Mikulski first founded the “Pop-Import Bernhard Mikulski” in Merenberg. In 1992 the name was changed to "ZYX Music". The company developed into an independent label for pop and disco productions. The repertoire was expanded to include other genres such as jazz, classical and rock through license purchases.

In addition to the record label, the company runs the music publisher Bernhard Mikulski, which was a contractual partner for musicians and producers such as Torsten Fenslau , Oliver Lieb and Andreas Tomalla ( Talla 2XLC ). The group also includes a record - press shop and offices in Austria , of Switzerland , Poland , France , England , in the United States and the Netherlands .

After the death of Bernhard Mikulski in 1997, his wife Christa Mikulski took over the management.

In 2004, a separate DVD division was introduced, which primarily offers classic films and special interest topics. In the same year, a separate audio book division was launched, which was initially dedicated to classical literature, but has now also brought contemporary literature to the market.
