Magic Affair (initially also MA ) is a German dance floor music project that was produced by Mike Staab .
history
Magic Affair ties in with the band Mysterious Art , who achieved chart successes in 1989 with the singles Das Omen - Teil 1 and Carma - Omen 2 . In 1993, Mike Staab , head and producer of Mysterious Art , began releasing new productions under the name Magic Affair , which has enjoyed success across Europe and beyond. The name of the first single Omen III and the band name, which only appeared as MA on the first album cover , linked to Mysterious Art and the Omen singles.
Omen III made it to number one in the German charts. In 1995 the project won the echo in the category “most successful dance act”. Further chart successes in Europe followed until 1998, including Give Me All Your Love and Energy of Light . After a break of several years, the single Fly Away was released in 2004 (with Franca Morgano ) . Although not placed in the German sales charts, the single was a hit in the clubs and reached the TOP 5 of the German club charts. On February 27, 2009 Magic Affair appeared for the first time since 1995 in their original composition with the singer Franca Morgano and the rapper AK-SWIFT in the Ultimate Chartshow on RTL.
Producer Mike Staab passed away on May 11, 2009 at the age of 49. Since 2013 AK-SWIFT has been replaced by the new rapper Nitro. On July 11, 2014, the new single Hear the Voices was released .
occupation
The original cast of Magic Affair consisted of the singer Franca Morgano and the American rapper AK-SWIFT.
