Raz-Ma-Taz

Raz-Ma-Taz , pseudonym ; (Born October 29, 1970 , in Atlanta , USA ; real name Richard Michael Smith ) is an American rapper and music producer . Smith became internationally known in the 1990s through the dance floor act E-Rotic .

Career

In 1994, Smith first appeared on stage with Lyane Leigh for the newly formed dance floor act E-Rotic . Together, the cast included the album Sex Affairs and the successful singles Max Don't have Sex (with your Ex), Fred Come to Bed, Sex on the Phone and Willy use a Billy ... Boy . Curiously, the male vocals were not recorded by Smith, but by producer David Brandes . Smith only recorded the single Take Of Love on the Sex Affairs album . For this reason, Smith left the project in late 1995. Leigh also left the project during the same period, but continued to sing all the songs until 1999.

In the spring of 1996, Smith and Leigh founded the SEXAppeal project . The single Voulez Vous Coucher Avec Moi was released under the name . The male vocal for the song was recorded by Smith. Text was written by Leigh. In late 1996, Smith left the project and moved to Magic Affair . His partner was no longer Leigh, but Jeanett de Lara . The singles Bohemian Rhapsody , Break These Chains and Night of The Raven were released under the cast . In 1998 he left the group.

In 1998 Smith founded his own music production company Four Colourz for the first time , which he ran until 2001. In 1999 Smith released his first solo single Crazy World. That same year he returned to the dance floor E-Rotic for a single and took the single Temple of Love with Leigh . This single is on the albums Mambo No. Sex and Kiss Me appeared.

Little has been heard from Smith since the 2000s . On the side he continues to produce and write songs for small artists. Smith worked for Bravo Hip Hop in the mid-2000s .

In 2019 he opened a Bavarian restaurant in Georgia .

Smith has been living in his hometown of Atlanta since the late 2000s . Smith has a second home in Munich .
