SEXAppeal is a German music group with the style of dance floor , vocal trance .

After Lyane Leigh and Richard Michael Smith aka Raz-Ma-Taz left the dance floor project E-Rotic due to various differences with producer David Brandes , they both founded the dance project SEXAppeal in 1996. Even so, Lyane Leigh continued to sing the lead vocals for E-Rotic in the studio until 1998, even if she was no longer on stage for the project.

The song Voulez vous coucher avec moi , which is not related to LaBelle's Lady Marmelade , was selected as the first single from SEXAppeal . The song was able to place itself in the official charts in Austria.

In 1997 Michael Smith left SEXAppeal to join Magic Affair . Months later, singer and entertainer Gino Gillian became the new partner at Lyane's side. Together, the duo brought the second single Life Goes Up - Life Goes Down on the market, which was produced by Lyane Leigh and her brother Thijs.

In February 1998 it came to the third single Dirty Talk , which was released on Jupiter Records. Six months later, the fourth single Sex Is a Thrill with the Pill was released . However, further chart successes could not be achieved, after two more unsuccessful singles Gillian also left the group.

Leigh continued SEXAppeal as a solo singer. During the 2000s, more singles and two albums were released at longer intervals. The singer continued to perform internationally, but was unable to build on the successes of the 1990s.
