The album Mambo No. Sex is the last album Lyane Leigh sang, although she hasn't been on stage since 1995. Rapper Raz-Ma-Taz hasn't been on stage for E-Rotic since 1995, but still sang on the song Temple of Love . As with the previous albums, David Brandes produced , sang and rapped the male vocals. Lyane Leigh's successor Lydia Madajewski only sang the song Mambo No. Sex .

The stage actors at the time were Ché Jouaner and Jeanette Christensen , who is also pictured on the cover.

The album Mambo No. Sex is almost identical to E-Rotic's Kiss Me album . They differ in that the album Kiss Me was only released in Japan and Russia and that the song Kiss Me was not on the album Mambo No. Sex as well as the song of the same name was not released on the album Kiss Me . However, the song Kiss Me was released as a single worldwide in August 1999.
