Mysterious Art was a German dance floor act that existed between 1988 and 1991 . Head was the producer and DJ Mike Staab .

history

Mysterious Art was founded in 1988 by producer Mike Staab and musicians from the Rhine-Main area.

The debut single Das Omen - Teil 1 made it to number one in the German charts in mid-1989 and stayed there for nine weeks. The group performed live as the support act on Madonna's Blonde Ambition Tour . Stylistically, they could be assigned to synth pop .

Her second single Carma - Omen 2 made it to number 9 in the German charts and stayed there for three weeks. The album Omen - The Story followed .

In 1991 the band released their second and final album, Mystic Mountains .

Afterlife

Mike Staab published some productions with different cast under the name Magic Affair from 1994 and was successful throughout Europe and beyond. The name of the first single Omen III and the band name, which appeared on the album cover only as "MA", followed on from Mysterious Art and the Omen singles.

Michael Krautter lives in Canada and works there as a producer for music and film.

Tillmann Uhrmacher became a well-known German DJ with his radio show MaxiMal, appearances at Nature One and other festivals. He also published some remixes and his own pieces. He held the record in continuous moderation for some time when he moderated 80 hours on radio station RPR1 in 1994 .

Nicole Kolb (formerly Boeúf) has released several singles and is the front woman of Midnight Project, the United Showband and the duo 2gether. She lives in Klingenberg am Main and runs a small music school for children and young people.

Stephanie Matias (formerly Trautmann) devoted herself to classical music again.
