Mike Staab

Michael "Mike" Staab (born April 5, 1960 in Aschaffenburg ; † May 11, 2009 in Obernburg am Main ) was a German producer and DJ on the Frankfurt music scene .

Life

Staab was the producer and musician of the project Mysterious Art , founded in 1988 , whose debut single "Das Omen - Teil 1" was number one in the German charts for nine weeks. In 1994 he dedicated himself as a producer to the Magic Affair project , with which he was able to build on the success of Mysterious Art. He also produced the projects Time To Time , CUBED, the American R&B singer Linda Freeland and others. He was also involved in other music projects such as S-50 .

Shortly before his death, he was still working on a comeback album by Magic Affair, which never came out. Staab died at the age of 49.

Awards

In 1995 Staab received the Echo music award as the most successful dance act for the single "Omen III" he produced .
