Paffendorf is a dance duo from Cologne , named after the district of the same name Paffendorf in the city of Bergheim .

history

Paffendorf was founded in 1998 by producers Ramon Zenker and Gottfried Engels . Tobias Lützenkirchen was temporarily involved in the music project. After the first three singles Smile , Ruf Mich An and Terminator 2 Theme: Main Title , they were awarded the Dance Act Of The Year in 2000. In the same year they released their first album Dance City . In 2006, Paffendorf released together with The Real Booty Babes a new version of the single Where Are You , which they called Where Are You 2007 . After the big club successes like “Rhythm & Sex”, “Where Are You” or “The Story”, no one heard from the dance duo for a long time. With their album Planet Dance in 2007 Paffendorf attempted a comeback . In commercial terms, however, they only achieved greater success in early 2009 with a remake of the hit Self Control (originally by Raf , better known in Germany in the version by Laura Branigan ). This title was able to place itself in the German single charts through pure downloads. The project is represented by the Cologne DJ Christian Schmitz, who works for Tiger Records.
