In the Land of Fantastic Dragons (Original title: Dungeons & Dragons ) is an American animated series that was produced by Marvel Productions and TSR in 1983. The series is based on the role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons .

content

In the Land of Fantastic Dragons is about a group of young people who are suddenly catapulted through a magical tunnel into a strange world during a kind of ghost train ride at the fair. In this world, each of the youngsters receives from the Dungeon Master (German name: "Lord of the castles") new identities and a range of magical weapons to fight against a multitude of monsters and the evil Venger ("Prince of Retribution").

  • Hank becomes a ranger through an accurate energy arc (German name: "Der Geächtete"). As the oldest, he also functions as the leader of the group.
  • Presto receives a magic hat him the magician ( Magician , German name: "The Sorcerer's Apprentice") do. Despite his power, he is very insecure about his abilities and constantly produces humorous goofs with his magic.
  • Eric can use his shield to deflect any attack and becomes a cavalier ("keeper of the shield"). He is a son from a wealthy family and, in stark contrast to his title, a loud-mouthed show-off and always full of complaints about his current situation, although he still shows the necessary courage in emergency situations and does not let his comrades down.
  • Diana (the earlier acrobatic skills possessed) gets an expandable baton and becomes the acrobat ( Acrobat , "Princess of acrobatics"). She is very self-confident and brave and, along with Hank, is probably the most adult member of the group.
  • Sheila , a basically shy and reserved girl, is given a coat that can make her invisible and becomes a thief ( Thief , "invisible").
  • Bobby , Sheila's younger brother, gets the status of a barbarian ( Barbarian , "Little Barbarian") and a fighting club. At eight years of age he is very impetuous and likes to throw himself into combat against physically far superior opponents.
  • Uni , a little unicorn foal and protégé and mascot of the group.

The young people absolutely want to go back home, but on numerous occasions they come to the aid of the inhabitants of this magical world and often have to sacrifice their respective chance to return home for the good of the others. Your most important task is to protect your powerful weapons from Venger and to beware of the five-headed dragon Tiamat , who is in eternal battle with the Prince of Retribution.
