Leopold Spiegel (* around 1680 ; † April 25, 1730 in Prague ) was a southern German organ builder in Prague.

Life

Leopold mirror grew in time to Further Austria belonging Fridingen on the Danube on. His ancestors came from Inner Austria. On February 12, 1712 he was released from civil rights in the city of Fridingen at his own request. In 1721 he received the citizenship of the city of Prague.

According to the Book of the Dead of the St. Wenceslas Church in Prague on the Lesser Town , Spiegel died in 1730 at the age of 50. One of his students was his nephew Hieronymus Spiegel , who after his apprenticeship in Prague worked in Austria.

Leopold Spiegel built organs in central and northern Bohemia. The organs in Strahov and Manětín, a positive in Malovary, and brochures in Prague St. Ursula, Roudnice and Doksany have been preserved.
