Terzi was born in Turkey and grew up in Hattingen . After moving to Bochum , he opened the record store "White Label Records" there, which he ran for years and which quickly developed into a meeting place for ravers and DJs. Among other things, Terzi met the DJ and music producer Tommaso De Donatis there, with whom he worked very successfully from 1995 until the last joint release in 2003.

Terzi chose the stage name DJ Quicksilver at a DJ competition based on a success barometer , a column of mercury that shot up when he was applauded. The first single of the music project DJ Quicksilver - Bingo Bongo was released in 1995 and reached number 36 in the German charts.

The music project DJ Quicksilver had its most successful creative period in 1997 and 1998. The single Bellissima was sold over 500,000 times in England alone, which earned the production team a gold record . The producer team was also in great demand as a remixer for acts such as Faithless, Chicane, Dance 2 Trance and Usura. Furthermore, DJ Quicksilver was nominated for a Brit Award and for the Echo.

After Tommaso De Donatis left the joint project, Orhan Terzi has been working with other producers since 2009.
